Reservoir breathers protect hydraulic reservoirs and similar equipment by removing moisture from incoming air. They are filled with a combination of molecular sieve and indicating silica gel, which changes from orange to green as it becomes saturated. 

Two-way pressure relief valves remain closed until a pressure difference occurs, significantly extending the service life of the desiccant.
